Car crashes near traffic light pole at busy intersection in Mississauga

A collision at a busy intersection in Mississauga’s east end on Saturday afternoon has led to significant traffic delays.

The incident, reported around 3:15 p.m., has affected northbound traffic on Tomken Road and eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East.

In a photo from the scene, a white sedan appears to have sustained significant front-end damage and is partially resting on a sidewalk near a business. A pickup truck is also seen by the intersection, while several individuals, including one wearing a safety vest, nearby.

Peel Regional Police have not released official information about injuries, the number of vehicles involved or the cause of the crash.
