Calling all lovers of ribs, beer, or ribs and beer! A massive festival is set to hit Brampton for the first time and you won’t want to miss it.

The Northern Heat Rib Series hits 17 places across Canada this summer, and Brampton is one of them.

Brampton’s Rib Fest hits Sheridan College from Friday July 20-Sunday July 22, 2018.

On Friday, the festival will run from 4-11 p.m., on Saturday it’ll run from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and on Sunday, it’ll run from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., so you have plenty of time to check it out.

What can you expect at this huge celebration of ribs and craft beer?

As for ribs, a range of ribbers will be there. Rib teams include Kentucky Smokehouse, Louisiana BBQ, New York BBQ, Boss Hogs, Smokehouse Bandits, Sticky Fingers, Silver Bullet, and more.

A total of 14 ribbers will be set up at the festival.

The craft beer market is an all new addition to the event, and some of the best breweries from across Ontario will be there.

That includes Amsterdam Brewery, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, Market Brewing Co., and tons more.

Event-goers can also look forward to a wine and spirits area, tons of local and live entertainment, a kids zone, life-sized board games, backyard BBQ games, a variety of other food and beverage vendors, and more, according to the event website.

There is no admission fee to get in and parking is free, so all you have to worry about is making sure you have some cash and cards on hand to experience the food, drinks, and attractions.

After the event, you can vote for your favourite ribbers on the event website, so if you had a preference, be sure to express it.

Some other perks are available on the event website like $3 off coupons a skip the line pass, and the chance to win free ribs.

The Northern Heat Rib series officially kicked off its tour in Newmarket on May 11, and its last stop is Ajax from September 14-16. Other locations include Windsor, Hamilton, and Waterloo, so if you can’t make the Brampton dates there are cities in and around the GTA you can still find this huge rib fest at.

Happy eating!
