Huge action sports festival Jackalope will be coming to Mississauga this month for its very first event in Canada.
The three-day festival comes to Mississauga’s Celebration Square and Square One on the weekend of July 12-14, and admission is completely free, so everyone is invited to check out the event at no cost!
Jackalope is an extreme sports extravaganza where top athletes compete in vert skateboarding, street skateboarding, BMX, and bouldering competitions, with cash prizes and national championships on the line.
The event will also feature performances by break dancers and demonstrations in BMX and moto sports, showcasing non-stop action that will keep spectators hooked all weekend.
Festival attendees don’t just spectate, though – they’ll also get the chance to try skateboarding, bouldering, and other fun activities for themselves, while learning from some of the best athletes in the game.
There will also be DJs playing live music, and a number of food trucks on scene ready to serve up savoury snacks, drinks, and sweet treats all weekend long.
Jackalope is free to attend, so there’s no need for a ticket. Visitors are also welcome to bring dogs on a leash and, of course, their skateboards.
Those who want to get closer to the action can book a VIP Weekend Pass, which offers the best views, special merch, skip-the-line access to after-parties and drink/snack tickets. You can also book an exclusive experience to meet and learn from the pros or get access to open sessions.
All contests and demonstrations will take place between Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre, running from 9 a.m. until late. Check out the full schedule to see what’s happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The full event schedule and special guest line-up is available at Jackalope’s website.
