Police are on the hunt for a man from Saskatchewan who is reportedly involved in intimate partner violence offences and may have travelled to the Peel region.

Peel Regional Police say Jagmohanjit Jheety, 47, is wanted for the following criminal offences: harassment, uttering death threats, and failing to comply with a release order.

Though Jhetty’s exact location in Peel is unknown, detectives believe he may have access to firearms and other weapons.

Jhetty is facing additional criminal charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm, officials say.

Police are warning residents that Jheety should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, members of the public are asked to dial 9-1-1 and not approach him.

Jheety is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police.
