A Mississauga woman is being sought by police on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death during a car theft in August.
Homicide detectives with York Regional Police are on the hunt for Katherine Bergeron-Pinzarrone, 27, who’s wanted on a charge of second-degree murder related to the killing, which took place in Richmond Hill.
Police said in a news release on Wednesday they’re also seeking three males in connection with the murder.
At around 6 a.m. on Aug. 8, police were called to a hospital in York after the teen, later identified as being from Montreal, arrived at the emergency department suffering from a stab wound.
“The victim was accompanied by two other males, one of which left immediately after they dropped the victim off,” police said, adding the teen was pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigators subsequently determined those allegedly involved in the killing are believed to be part of a larger auto theft ring.
Two other suspects are being sought by police on warrants while a third man is wanted for questioning.
Lensly Francois, 31, of Saint-Hubert, Quebec, and William Gallant, 26, of Quebec City, are both wanted on charges of theft of motor vehicle over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and breach of probation.
In addition to the suspects, police are also appealing to the public for information on a suspect vehicle, described as a white 2013 Mercedes C300 with tinted windows and bearing Quebec licence plate marker X25SWG.
