Members of the Caledon OPP helped spread a little comfort and joy with the annual Shop with a Cop event.

Now in its tenth year, the charitable campaign is a partnership with the Optimist Club of Caledon and has police officers fulfil the wish lists of twenty families in need.

This year’s recipients were selected by Caledon Community Services and The Exchange to help make the holiday’s bright for families with financial or emotional needs.

Along with wrapped gifts, the families were also treated to a festive holiday meal courtesy of The Kitchen at Mono Mills.

“The Caledon OPP detachment officers, staff and families would like to pass on our very best to the Caledon community this holiday season,” the detachment said in a release. “Thank you for working with us to share a much-needed holiday joy.”
