A building has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found in the Toronto Pearson Airport area of Mississauga.

The package was found in a building at Britannia Road East and Infield Tunnel Road just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said in a post on X.

This is an area where cargo buildings and hangers are located.

The building was evacuated as a precaution, police said.

Police said the Explosive Disposal Unit is attending and asked people to avoid the area.
