Building evacuated after suspicious package found at Toronto Pearson Airport area of Mississauga

Update: Police say the package has been cleared and was actually “packaged protein supplements” and “nothing of concern.” The scene has since been cleared.
A building has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found in the Toronto Pearson Airport area of Mississauga.
The package was found in a building at Britannia Road East and Infield Tunnel Road just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said in a post on X.
This is an area where cargo buildings and hangers are located.
The building was evacuated as a precaution, police said.
Police said the Explosive Disposal Unit is attending and asked people to avoid the area.
