Drivers may want to avoid the area near Pearson Airport as crews work to repair a busted watermain in Mississauga.
Emergency crews shut down a stretch of road just north of Pearson International Airport shortly before 12 p.m. on Monday due to a watermain break.
Peel Regional Police say traffic has been stopped on Drew Road between Torbram Road and Kimbel Street, and drivers are being asked to steer clear of the area and find an alternate route if possible.
Peel Public Works has not said how many homes or businesses are impacted by the watermain break, or when the work is expected to wrap up.
Drivers in Brampton may also see more traffic starting Monday due to bridge work that will see part of Queen Street East reduced in lanes for months.
Lanes have been temporarily reduced and construction is expected to last until the end of September.
