A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for early this evening (Feb. 27) in Mississauga and Brampton.

The forecast is calling for a brief period of heavy flurries to move across the region early this evening, which may suddenly reduce visibility.

Actual snowfall amounts won’t be more than 1 or 2 cm.

Motorists are advised to prepare for potentially difficult travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

More snow is expected this week on Monday and Wednesday, as well as a chance of flurries Tuesday and Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to hover around or below seasonal for most of the week, but we’ll see milder temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday.
