A Mississauga plaza that has been without a breakfast restaurant since the departure of a long-time favourite, will soon be home to a new establishment.

Stacked Pancake House will be taking up residence in Clarkson Crossing Plaza early in the new year.

The Clarkson spot will be Stacked’s second Mississauga location (there’s one at South Common Mall) and will feature a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options specializing in pancakes as the name implies. Jan. 22 is the anticipated opening.

Pancakes come in more than a dozen varieties including strawberry banana, chocolate chip cookie dough, NY blueberry cheesecake, strawberry with Nutella and birthday cake.

They have all the breakfast staples including omelettes, eggs benedict, hashes, French toast, waffles and crepes. And there’s a special kids’ menu as well.

If you miss the morning rush and are looking for lunch, you can order a variety of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads and poutine.

You can even order ahead and grab a meal to go, whether it’s eggs, bacon, sausages and homefries or something a little more exotic.

Hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Founded in 2016 Stacked Pancake House has already grown to more than 80 locations across Canada, including Hamilton, Brantford, Burlington, Port Colborne and Niagara Falls.

Daylight Grill was a popular breakfast place at Clarkson Crossing for 20 years but was forced out in 2023 to make way for Winners and HomeSense which is currently built on the site.

Daylight Grill is now operating in Burlington.
