Brand new Walmart coming to busy neighbourhood in Mississauga

Mississauga is getting a new Walmart in a busy neighbourhood.
The new store will open near the corner of Cawthra Road and Lakeshore Road East in Port Credit in 2025, Walmart Canada announced on Linkedin today (June 13).
“It’s thoughtfully designed with the busy customer in mind and will offer all the great things you’d expect from your Walmart store (including our everyday low prices!) to provide the ultimate one-stop shop,” the post reads.
“As Canada’s landscape continues to change, we’re focused on serving new Canadians and urban dwellers and are excited to be part of the significant growth Port Credit is experiencing.”
The exact location and opening date were not provided. A Walmart spokesperson told insauga.com those details are not being provided yet.

But the image provided on the Linkedin post suggested it could be built above the Bank of Montreal at 515 Lakeshore Rd. E. at Douglas McCurdy Common.
