Virtual community police station now open in Brampton

Peel Regional Police (PRP) is excited to announce the opening of the Brampton Virtual Community Station, a facility that is one of its kind.
The station, located at 45 George St., will now enable members of the public to come and speak to an officer virtually, who is stationed at another community station in the northern part of Brampton.
This facility offers the opportunity to have officers complete reports in the backroom as well as provide additional officer presence in the downtown core.
“This is amazing to have a substation right in our downtown. This is a big step forward for our downtown to make sure we’ve got the presence of our Peel Regional Police officers,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
“To tour the station and to see the use of the latest technology, interview rooms, stations for police work; these are important tools we’re now going to have in our downtown.”
“For anyone out there committing criminal activities downtown, it’s bad news, because we’re going to have officers able to get this under control right away,” concluded Brown.
