Brampton’s annual zumba/yoga event is happening this weekend!

This Saturday May 13, 2017, the city will be hosting Brampton’s Biggest Workout, Brampton’s annual zumba/yoga event led by zumba certified fitness instructor at Century Gardens Recreation Centre..

The event begins with a zumba workout from 9:30-11:00 a.m., followed by a relaxing yoga session from 11:15a.m.-12:15p.m.

Admission is free with the donation of new, unused personal care items. Attendees are asked to arrive early and bring their own non-slip Yoga mat, a water bottle, and comfortable athletic footwear and attire.

About 150 participants usually attend the zumba session, and attendees can participate in either of both of the events. The workouts can be modified to accommodate any fitness level.

The event is first-come-first-serve, and there is no advanced registration.

Current City of Brampton fitness members are asked to bring their membership cards so they can scan into the event. Non-members will be asked to fill out a pre-highlighted registration form before receiving a wristband and entering the event.

There will be complimentary refreshments available for participants. Century Gardens Snack Bar will also be open for those who would like to purchase refreshments.

Free childcare is also available for participants’ children, ages 3 months to 12 years old.

The event is for residents 14 years of age and older.
