Brampton’s annual Farmers’ Market returns in June with live music

Summer is almost upon us, heralding the return of Brampton’s popular annual Farmers’ Market.

The Farmers’ Market returns for the 2022 season beginning on June 11, and will run every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. until October 8, rain or shine.

Like last year, the market will be located downtown on Wellington Street between George Street and Main Street South, as well as in Gage Park.

As usual, patrons can expect a variety of farmers, vendors and local artisans offering a selection of their fresh produce and handmade goods.

But that’s not all — the market will also feature live entertainment on the bandstand from several performing artists and groups including Brampton Folk Club, B-Jazzed, DJ Jonathan Shaw and more, as well as on-site art activations from the City of Brampton’s Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA).

“The annual return of the Brampton Farmers’ Market marks the unofficial start of the summer! This Brampton favourite brings community together and is a tradition I look forward to every year,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.

“Mark your calendars for June 11.”

Interested marketgoers should note that free parking is available in the underground parking lot at City Hall.

This year, the Farmers’ Market is being sponsored by Algoma University, Boardwalk, Flato Developments, Revera and Toronto Pearson.
