The library systems of Mississauga and Brampton are teaming up for an online celebration and investigation of STEAM skills.
MakerFest brings a variety of online, interactive activities to youth and adults with a passion for science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The collaborative approach allows more residents to access the activities, experts and opportunities to connect with the broader STEAM and maker community.
Seven online activities are being offered on May 14 and 15, including topics such as 3D design, app design, astronomy and a trivia challenge. The events are free and open to teens aged 13 and up, young adults and students, anyone interested in an introduction to maker and STEAM programs and anyone with experience or a passion for STEAM subjects.
Participants can register online for the events and do not need a Mississauga or Brampton library card.
