Update: Brampton streets blocked after collision causes car to catch fire

Steeles Avenue in Brampton was best avoided early Thursday evening (Nov. 11) after a two-car crash that resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.
Peel Regional Police stated that they were notified at 6:23 p.m. regarding a collision at Steeles Ave. and First Gulf Boulevard. One of the vehicles was “fully engulfed” in flames. Access to Steeles Ave. and Rutherford Road was blocked, and two westbound lanes of Steele from a northbound Highway 410 off-ramp were also unavailable.
Neither driver was injured. The roadways were reopened at 7:23 p.m.
