Blackout leaves over 2,000 homes and businesses without power in Brampton

Hundreds of homes and businesses were left without service following a power outage in Brampton.

Alectra says more than 300 homes and businesses in the area of Rutherford Rd. North, Williams Pkwy. and Kennedy Rd. in Brampton were without power on Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 22).

The utility provider did not say what caused the outage, but said crews have been dispatched to repair the issue.

Alectra said service had been restored in Brampton by around 1:30 p.m., but said anyone still experiencing an outage to call 1-833-ALECTRA.
