Brampton pair charged in armed robbery spree

A pair of alleged robbers from Brampton are facing charges for a string of hold-ups using an imitation firearm.
Around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday (June 16), Peel Regional Police there was an armed robbery of a commercial business in the area of Hurontario St. and Bovaird Dr. East in Brampton.
The two suspects were located a short time later by police operating a silver Dodge Journey, at which time they were stopped and arrested.
Police believe the same two suspects were also involved in five other similar robberies that took place in Brampton this week between Wednesday and Thursday.
A combined 22 have been laid related to six separate robberies against two Bramptonians:
Roland Bruce of Brampton has been charged with:
- Four counts of Robbery
- Two counts of Attempt to commit an indictable offence
- Six counts of Wear disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Five counts of Use Imitation Firearm
Ashley Killins from Brampton has been charged with:
- Flight from police
- Three counts of Attempt to commit an indictable offence
- Three counts of Robbery
The accused were held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday.
