A mother of three from Brampton says she can “find her possible” after winning nearly $55,000.
Seelawathy Senthivel says she’s been a regular lottery player for 25 years, but only scored her first big win in the Lotto 6/49 draw last week.
“When I scanned my ticket on the ticket checker at the store and saw Big Winner, I was so excited I was shaking,” Senthivel said when picking up her $54,885 prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
The 47-year-old from Brampton said her son was waiting in the car when Senthivel checked the ticket, and he was shocked to learn about the win.
“He was so excited for me too. We both couldn’t believe it,” she said.
The new LOTTO 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play. The main draw is the new Classic Draw and offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw.
OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, with prize winners between $1,000 and $49,999.90 encouraged to submit their claims online or mail them.
Submitting claims online is fast, secure and enables OLG to process the claim in a timely manner. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sobeys on North Park Drive Brampton.
