Brampton man jailed in Florida on child abuse content charge

A Brampton man disembarking a cruise ship has been jailed in Florida and charged with purchasing child sexual abuse material online.
Police in Miami-Dade say Nicholas Gardener, 25, was detained last Saturday (Nov. 2) at the PortMiami cruise terminal.
According to reports, police there say a man was arrested after his cellphone was searched and illicit photos and videos were discovered.
WPLG Local 10 News in Florida reports the images depicted girls between the ages of 5 to 8 who were being victimized.
Gardener is currently being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $50,000 bond and is facing five felony charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material.
