Police say a Brampton man has been charged with trafficking an underage girl.
Today (Nov. 17), Peel police announced that officers with the service’s Vice and Human Trafficking Unit arrested and charged a 21-year-old man in connection with a number of human trafficking, assault and child pornography-related offences.
Police allege the victim was forced into the sex trade while the accused exercised “control over numerous aspects of her life while profiting from it.”
Police say Elijah Grey was arrested on Nov. 15 and is facing over 10 charges, including trafficking a person under 18 years old, advertising sexual services, assault, assault with a weapon, making child pornography and more.
He was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area, and are urging them to contact them at 905-453-2121, extension 3555.
