Brampton man charged for sting of break-and-enters

Police have charged a 39-year-old Brampton man with a string of break-ins over the last month.

Between Dec. 14 and Jan. 4, police say multiple businesses in downtown Brampton were broken into and had doors and windows smashed in.

During these incidents, the suspect reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency along with lottery tickets.

On Friday, police charged Adam Olkowicz, 39, from Brampton, with six counts of break and enter.

After an investigation by officers from the 22 Division Break and Enter Unit, the suspect was identified.

Olkowicz is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 9.

Investigators are encouraging anyone that may have been the victim of a break and enter in the downtown Brampton area, to contact investigators if they have not yet reported the incident.
