Brampton Man Arrested Following Attempted Murder and Firearms Offences

A Brampton man has been arrested following an attempted murder incident and firearms offences.
A Brampton man has been arrested following an attempted murder incident and firearms offences.
According to police, on Feb. 25, 2019, a victim and the suspect, who are known to each other, were outside of a residence on Yorkland Boulevard in Brampton in the early afternoon.
After some discussion, the suspect retrieved a firearm and shot the victim causing non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim was then transported to a trauma centre for treatment.
Following an investigation, Devon Ruddock-Brooks, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, was identified as being allegedly responsible for this incident.
A warrant for his arrest was issued.
On March 3, 2019, the accused surrendered to Peel Police and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 4, 2019 in answer to the charges.
