Brampton made a top ten list of the most searched for real estate in Ontario.
Despite challenges in the real estate market in Brampton and Mississauga, many people are searching for a home in the Flower City.
Brampton places eighth in the top ten list of searched cities for real estate in Ontario from Zoocasa, a real estate website and brokerage.
“With a mix of natural beauty, modern amenities, and plenty of attractions, Brampton makes for a great place to call home,” Zoocasa notes.
The downtown area is walkable with plenty to do — such as concerts at The Rose Theatre or exploring the shops and restaurants, Zoocasa adds.
There are also several cultural attractions including the Peel Art Gallery & Museum, the Flower City Arts Complex, historic sites like Bovaird House and beautiful gardens such as Garden Square or Eldorado Park.
“Outdoor enthusiasts will find something to enjoy with hiking trails along the Etobicoke Creek or bike paths that link to other communities,” Zoocasa notes.
Whether it’s the city’s amenities or the price of homes — Brampton’s real estate market is doing better than other cities in the GTA.
A recent Zoocasa report found Brampton homes were selling four days faster than the Toronto region average.
Brampton’s average home price sits just over $1 million, slightly lower than Toronto and Scarborough but higher than Mississauga, according to Zoocasa. Durham Region cities such as Oshawa and Whitby still offer the cheapest homes in the area.
