A Brampton man is a bit richer after winning the lottery but at first his wife didn’t believe it.

Chirag Bharucha, 33, of Brampton, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the Oct. 14, 2022 Lotto Max draw to win $100,000, according to a press release from OLG.

Bharucha says he plays the lottery when the jackpot is high but he may play more often now.

“Ever since this big win, I am going to play all the time!” he says.

He discovered his win through the OLG App.

“My wife was so surprised. She kept saying it isn’t true,” he says. “My mother was surprised and happy as well.”

He hasn’t made any plans for his winnings yet.

“I’m still considering my options,” he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Prestige Dry Cleaners on Highway 7 in Woodbridge.
