A Brampton detached home has just sold for more than $550,000 over asking after just five days on the market.
The two-storey, four bedroom home located at 8 Henna Street on the northeastern edge of the city was listed for $1,799,900 and sold for $2,350,000 earlier this month.
With an attached two-car garage and finished basement with separate entrance that can be used as a second unit, the home is between 2,500 to 3,000 square feet and boasts over $100,000 in upgrades.
The house is just eight years old but has already changed hands four times since it was built, selling in 2017 for $1,142,500 – more than half the cost of what it sold for in March 2022.
The main floor features 9-foot ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout, a bright foyer and a spacious living room.
The dine-in kitchen has a waterfall island and new appliances including a smart fridge, slide-in gas range, dishwasher and chimney hood.
There is also a sitting room off the kitchen with a fireplace perfect for entertaining or relaxing after a meal.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, Juliet Balcony overlooking the front of the house as well as two other sleeping areas.
The basement also has a kitchen with a fridge and stove, as well as a combination washer and dryer and a second master bedroom.
Brampton saw the biggest spike in real estate prices of all Peel Region municipalities last year, climbing some 40 per cent in 2021 according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s December market watch.
Editor’s note: an earlier version of this story had the listed price at $179,900, when the listing price was $1,799,900.
