Brampton hosts a live art competition and you can win cash

Pit your paintbrush against fellow artists in Brampton’s Live Art Competition coming up later this month.
Downtown Brampton invites artists from across Ontario for the one-day-only en plein air (outdoor) painting event, presented by the Inzola Art Fund at PAMA.
The event is on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at GALLERY 35, 35 Queen St., Brampton. But artists can register now until Aug. 12 for $40 or at the event for $50. Registrations will only be taken at the event if supplies remain.
Each artist will get either a 16 x 20 canvas or watercolour paper.
Artists will paint around downtown Brampton from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and judging will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The top three prizes are $800 for first, $500 for second, and $200 for third. Nine winning pieces get displayed at Gallery 35 from Sept. 1 to 15 in a combined exhibition.
Artists must be a resident of Ontario and 18 years old and up to join the competition.
This competition is created in partnership with PAMA, Gallery 35, Baci Gifts, Beaux Arts Brampton and the Downtown Brampton BIA.
