Brampton heating up with lineup of summer events

Music, events and festivals are coming back to Brampton this summer for in-person fun.
Starting this Friday (May 20), Brampton is kicking off more than 100 days of events after two summer seasons of scaled-back programming.
From city-led events like Canada Day festivities, Brampton Celebrates Pride and National Indigenous Peoples’ Day to community programs like the Rotary Rib ‘n’ Roll, Brampton Farmers Market and Movies Under The Stars, there’s no shortage of events to keep Brampton busy this summer.
With a focus on celebrating Brampton’s diversity and encouraging civic pride, the city and its local partners will be hosting festivals, events and programming.
Public spaces across the city will be transformed into venues to support local programs and highlight Brampton as an arts and culture city.
Here are just some of the upcoming events in Brampton in the next month:
Live Music Saturdays:
Artists will be performing at local restaurants in Brampton on Saturday (May 14) with more performances planned in coming weeks as part of the Activate Downtown Brampton series.
Rotary Rib ‘n’ Roll:
Come out to Gage Park on May 27-29 for live music and BBQ at the Rotary Rib ‘n’n Roll featuring artists like the Dave Murphy Band, Freedom Train and Tianna Woods.
Luminato Festival:
For the first time ever, the festival will venture outside of Toronto this year with two special street theatre and audio-visual installations in Brampton. starting on June 10.
Brampton Celebrates Pride:
The full lineup for Brampton’s Pride celebrations are still being nailed down, but the city says festivities are expected to get underway on Sunday, June 19.
