Brampton Fire knocks down blaze, but advises drivers to avoid the area

Brampton’s firefighters have swiftly knocked down a blaze in the city, but still advise motorist to avoid the area.
Peel Police announced the fire was burning at Somerset Dr and Fanshawe Dr around 8:40, almost a half hour after 911 received the call.

Minutes later, at 8:48, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services announced they had extinguished the flame. However, crews remain on scene for fire watch to ensure the fire does not reignite.
Firefighters are currently operating at a residential fire at Fanshawe Drive and Somerset Drive. Fire has been knocked down, however crews will remain on scene clearing smoke and performing overhaul. Please avoid the area. ^NR @ChiefBoyes @BPFFA1068 pic.twitter.com/UplzX8j3jr

Crews are also still in the midst of clearing smoke and performing “overhaul.” Therefore they advise drivers to stay away from the area.
