Fire crews in Brampton tackled a two-alarm blaze early on Monday morning.

Around 3:00 a.m. Brampton Fire and Emergency said they were responding to a fire in the area of Dewside Drive and Bramalea Road.

Crews shut down Dewside Drive west of Bramalea and Fairwoods Circle as firefighters worked to knock down the two-alarm fire.

Brampton Fire said the blaze was brought under control, and roads were reopened a short time later.

The Dewside Drive fire was the second blaze in less than 12 hours that caused road closures in Brampton.

On Sunday night around 9:30 p.m., Brampton Fire reported a dryer fire at a residence on Delambray Street east of Countryside Drive at Highway 410.

Delambray and Sussexvale Drive were blocked off as crews were on scene, but the roads were reopened by Monday morning.

There were no injuries reported in either fire.
