The mother of 9-year-old Daniel, 5-year-old Harry and 2-year-old Milly Neville-Lake, killed by a drunk driver in Vaughan in 2015, posted a photo of the children's headstone on Twitter on Father's Day, 2022.

A Brampton family still reeling from the death of three children killed by drunk driver Marco Muzzo say the children’s father has died.

“My children’s father, Edward Lake, has joined our kids so they can play together, forever,” Jenn Neville-Lake said in a post on Twitter on Monday.

Lake died by suicide, according to reports on CP24 and Global News.

Neville-Lake’s three children with her late husband were killed in a 2015 crash by drunk driver Marco Muzzo.

The victims were 9-year-old Daniel, 5-year-old Harry and 2-year-old Milly Neville-Lake, as well as their grandfather 65-year-old Gary Neville.

Two other family members were also injured when the minivan they were travelling in was struck by a car driven by Muzzo after he ran a stop sign.

On Father’s Day last Sunday, Neville-Lake made a post on Twitter showing her children’s gravestones.

“Father’s Day 2022. This shouldn’t be real. It can’t be,” the Tweet reads.

The next day Neville-Lake again posted online to share the news of her husband’s death.

Muzzo had about three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of the crash and pleaded guilty to four counts of impaired driving causing death and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison and banned from driving.

He was granted partial parole in 2020 and moved from a maximum security prison to a community facility, and granted full parole in February 2021.

Muzzo was ordered to stay away from Brampton as part of the conditions of his release.

York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween said he was saddened to lear of the “heart wrenching” loss to the Neville-Lake family.

“YRP stands with our friend Jennifer and members of both families,” he said in a statement on Twitter. “May you find strength in the support of your community.”
