Brampton driving instructor charged with sexual assault of 17-year-old

A man from Brampton has been charged for the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old while giving a driving lesson.

Peel Regional Police say that in April, a 17-year-old hired a driving instructor operating out of Brampton to instruct them over several lessons.

The instructor allegedly sexually assaulted the young person during the course of their lesson.

Police arrested the 49-year-old driving instructor on June 3 and have laid charges in the incident.

Munish ‘Mike’ Bhardwaj, 49, of Brampton has been charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Exploitation

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on August 22.

Police are still investigating and believe there may be additional victims.
