Brampton driver in stolen car charged with impaired driving: police

Police in Guelph have charged a Brampton driver after allgedly crashing while impaired in a stolen ride.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 1), police say members of the Wellington County OPP received a call about a single vehicle collision on the Hanlon Expressway at Clair Road in Guelph.
When members of the OPP and officers with the Guelph Police Service responded to the scene they discovered a vehicle in a ditch.
Police say the vehicle was stolen, and a 35-year-old of Brampton is facing multiple charges.
Delano Ramon Kinghorn, 35, of Brampton has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation
- Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood).
- Operation While Prohibited
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The driver was given a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and was held by police pending a bail hearing.
Police say to call 9-1-1 if you suspect someone is driving a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
