Brampton crash sends pedestrian to hospital

Brampton school evacuated after possible ‘chemical spray’ released

UPDATE: The roadway reopened just before 10:30 p.m.

One person has been injured after a crash in Brampton on Wednesday (March 16).

Just before 4:00 p.m., Peel Regional Police say they were called to the area of Great Lakes Drive and Sailwind Road in Brampton.

Police say there was a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The northbound lane of Great Lakes Drive has been closed by police at Demaris Drive and motorists in the area are advised to find alternate routes if possible.

Brampton Transit riders may also experience delays on Routes 23 Sandalwood, 32 Father Tobin and 33 Peter Robertson. Those routes are being impacted in all directions and are on detour due to the collision.
