Open and Closed: Labour Day Sept. 2 in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills

More than two years after shutting down due to “COVID-19 recommendations,” Uncle Bob’s Country Buffet in Brampton has officially closed its doors permanently.

The buffet-style restaurant located at 227 Vodden St East closed down in March 2020 according to a post on Facebook “after carefully reviewing the COVID-19 recommendations” from the Region of Peel.

While the post said that closure was going to be a temporary measure, the restaurant has now been shuttered for good.

“Please be advised that Uncle Bob’s Country Buffet has permanently closed,” reads a message on the restaurant’s website dated March 31, 2022. “Thank you for your patronage over the years.”

Another Uncle Bob’s in Barrie reportedly closed down prior to the pandemic in September 2019.
