The holidays are drawing nearer, and for some of us that means a few things in particular: Running around looking for gifts for everyone on your list, planning some quality time with friends and family, and organizing that group picture with jolly old St. Nick.

If you’re finding yourself overcome by the stress of it all, then first, take a deep breath, and second, head to Bramalea City Centre!

Ontario’s fifth largest shopping centre is giving you even more reason to visit this holiday season, with a variety of festive events, Instagram-worthy decor, and sweet shopping deals. Everything you need for the holidays is available here!

“The holidays are a great time to bring people together, enforce a sense of community and uplift spirits, and that’s exactly what we hope to do at BCC,” says BCC Marketing Director Eleni Koukoulidis.

“Through our holiday programming we want to welcome families, tourists and shoppers from all over to celebrate the season with us.”

With over 300 stores, you’re completely covered for holiday shopping – and when you shop at BCC, you’re rewarded for it.

BCC’s FashioniCITY program, which runs throughout the year, lets you submit your shopping receipts and receive gems which can be traded for monthly rewards and special perks (such as vouchers and gift cards to certain BCC stores). You can also earn gems by filling out surveys or completing specific challenges.

The program is free to use via the Bramalea City Centre app, which includes other helpful information such as mall hours, an interactive store directory, access to the latest store promotions, and more. The app is available on both Apple and Android devices.

To make sure you’re in the holiday mood while shopping, BCC has also undergone a festive makeover! Throughout the mall you’ll see gorgeous new décor including the RGB Lit Christmas Tree, a brand new Christmas staple at BCC. The tree is located in front of Saks Off Fifth and will feature dazzling light shows throughout the season.

If you’re looking for that perfect picture to post on the ‘gram, get a photo at Santa’s Sparkle Station, the larger-than-life gift box extravaganza set to light up the mall, or check out the life size JOY and HOPE signs (located on the lower level by Second Cup and the upper level by Sephora, respectively).

Of course, it’s not the holidays without the big red man himself! From November 15 to December 24, bring the squad to BCC and get a photo at Santa’s Sparkle Station, located in the Hudson’s Bay Court on the lower level.

The Sparkle Station provides an ideal photo set-up and delightful decor for amazing, high-quality photographs, and you’ll even receive digital downloads that can be shared instantly with family and friends. However, if you still prefer to print them out, you can stop by the Photo Plus or Shoppers Drug Mart to do just that.

You can get a photo with Santa at the following times:

  • Monday to Saturday at 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday at 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • December 24 at 10: 00 a.m. to 3: 00 p.m.

In the spirit of giving (which the holidays are all about!), BCC is proudly partnering with two charities this year to help give back to the community.

That includes, for the second year in a row, the William Osler Health System Foundation. A portion of proceeds from all Santa photos taken at BCC will be donated to William Osler Health System’s three hospitals including Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, Etobicoke General Hospital (where Santa will be making a special visit on December 9th) and Brampton Civic Hospital, which Santa will also visit on the 10th!

This year BCC is also partnering with Peel Regional Police and their Toys for Tots holiday campaign, where officers from around the region collect donations to purchase new toys for underprivileged children in the community. The donation box is located inside the mall across from Toys, Toys, Toys!

Because BCC knows the holidays can be hectic, the mall has extended its shopping hours so you can make sure you get your gift shopping done on time.

Extended hours begin on December 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (10 p.m. on Sunday) and will continue throughout the month with varying hours. While the mall will be closed on Christmas Day, it’ll remain open on New Year’s Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The holiday season should be fun, not stressful, so count on Bramalea City Centre to take care of all your shopping needs with delightful festivity and décor you won’t see at any other shopping centre in Brampton!
