Boy on bike struck by car in Mississauga

An eight-year-old boy in Mississauga was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on Wednesday night, requiring a trip to the hospital.
At 8:19 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a call that a child had been struck at Thomas Street and Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga. The driver remained on the scene and it is believed that the boy was taken to the hospital as a precaution. One officer was still at the location of the collision as of 10:05 p.m.
