A boutique in downtown Hamilton that specialized in lingerie, swimwear and sleepwear is having a closing sale that ends on Wednesday (June 29).
Mablellie’s Drawer, which is located at 17 John St. N. (between King St. W. and King William St.), has announced that this is their last week in business. The store said it was staying open late tonight in an effort to clear out remaining stock.
An Instagram post said the store was not able to recover from closures during earlier stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. One personal service that Mablellie’s offered was bra fittings, which it would have been unable to offer due to social distancing protections during COVID-19.
“It is unfortunate, we are extremely disappointed and saddened to share with you all that we will be closing by the end of this month,” the post reads.
“We are thankful for all of your continued support and kindness. We have truly enjoyed being a part of the downtown community.
“Unfortunately, with the constant forced closures from the pandemic, we have had no choice but to make the decision to close our doors. We hope you can all help support us one more time, in our store closure.”
