Body of Mississauga man recovered at Milton golf course has been identified

The body that was found by a Milton golf course on Thursday has been identified as a Mississauga man.

Seif Karrawan, a Mississauga man who had been missing since Christmastime 2021, was the man whose body was recovered at a golf course in Milton on Thursday.

Halton Regional Police (HRPS) said Thursday that a marine unit had recovered the body of a male from Sixteen Mile Creek on located on Royal Ontario Golf Club on Trafalgar Rd. in Milton.

A source has confirmed to inSauga that the male was Karrawan, who was 48 years old at the time of his disappearance.

Karrawan was last heard from since Dec. 23, two days before Christmas. He was reported missing on Dec. 27.

At that time, his family was concerned for his well-being.

On Thursday, Halton police officers were called to the Royal Ontario Golf Club around 1 p.m. after a body was spotted in the creek.

The HRPS said around 7 p.m. that, with support from a fellow police marine unit from Peel Region and local firefighters, it had recovered the body for identification.
