Sam McDadi, this Mississauga real estate mogul, loves surprising his team, his friends and the Mississauga community with an opportunity to get up close to incredible special guests and motivational athletes.

And once again yesterday afternoon, McDadi did not disappoint.

For the few who don’t know, Sam McDadi Real Estate Inc. is a Mississauga-based real estate team that’s been ranked the top such team in the GTA for 11 years in a row.

Both Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie and the newly-minted Mississauga-Lakeshore MP Charles Sousa couldn’t resist being among the crowd on Wednesday afternoon to catch a glimpse of and hear the words of McDadi’s latest celebrity guest–Georges St-Pierre, widely considered the best MMA fighter ever.

Known throughout his career simply as GSP, the Quebec-raised St-Pierre dropped by McDadi’s Clarkson office in the south end of Mississauga to share some of his fighting knowledge, life lessons and business advice with an appreciative crowd that hung on every word for a couple of hours.

McDadi, just as taken by the presence and words of his special guest as was the crowd, served as host/interviewer for the afternoon session.

GSP, who first retired from the sport in 2013 before fighting again in 2017, is one of the most decorated UFC fighters to ever grace the octagon, but you would never know that in talking to him.

A three-time UFC champion in two weight classes, GSP is always at the top of the list whenever there’s talk of the MMA “GOAT” (greatest of all time).

It’s a rare athlete who retires at the top of their sport, as a champion, twice.

In 2013, GSP retired as the Welterweight champion only to return to MMA competition again four years later. In 2017, after defeating Middleweight champ Michael Bisping for that crown, St-Pierre left the octagon for good, another title in his clutches.

Since retiring from UFC in 2017, GSP might be more known to many younger fans for his acting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) realm. He plays a villain in MCU circles known as Batroc, a French mercenary who’s been in the Captain America movie and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series.
