Below freezing temperatures, snow and rain coming up this week in southern Ontario

It’s shaping up to be a mostly cloudy and rainy week with freezing temperatures, though some snow could hit Ontario first.
As of today (Nov. 24) residents will wake up to predominantly cloudy conditions, with a 40 per cent chance of morning rain. Brisk winds could reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. Daytime temperatures will hover around 7 C, with cloudy skies continuing into the evening. Overnight, temperatures will dip to -2 C, marking a chilly end to the day.
The rest of the week will bring more gloomy weather, with the possibility of a multi-day snowstorm and freezing rain.
Monday will be mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks. There is a 40 per cent chance of afternoon rain with light winds of 15 km/h. Daytime highs will reach 6 C, beginning with a wind chill of -5 C in the morning before warming up. Skies will remain cloudy by the evening with the possibility of rain returning. Temperatures will drop to 4 C.
Tuesday starts with a 70 per cent chance of showers and a high of 7 C—the warmest day compared to the week. Overnight, a 40 per cent chance of rain or flurries is expected as temperatures dip to -1 C.
Wednesday remains overcast, with daytime highs reaching 3 C and evening lows are anticipated to hold steady at 0 C.
Thursday follows a similar pattern, with cloudy skies and a 40 per cent chance of snow or rain as daytime highs rise to 3 C. The evening sees a continued 40 per cent chance of snow as temperatures dip to -1 C.
Friday and Saturday bring a 60 per cent chance of flurries under cloudy skies. Highs for both days are expected to reach 1 C, with overnight lows slipping to -2 C.
