Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area got their first snowfall of the season on Wednesday, but it’s unsettled weather elsewhere in both Canada and the U.S. that has delayed a number of flights at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Pearson Airport officials noted in separate posts to social media on Wednesday afternoon that winter weather conditions in both Vancouver and Boston are impacting some arrivals to and departures from Canada’s biggest and busiest airport.
One of two scheduled departing flights for Boston’s Logan International Airport has been delayed while two of three inbound flights from that city are behind schedule, Pearson officials said.
Boston airport officials said in an online update that a weather advisory remains in effect there and is causing flight delays.
At Vancouver International Airport, heavy fog there is leading to flight delays, airport officials say.
Pearson officials said five flights arriving from the Western Canadian city are delayed, another five are scheduled to arrive in Toronto on time and two are early.
Of nine flights leaving Pearson for Vancouver, only one is delayed, officials added.
