A four-month-old baby allegedly murdered in Toronto last week has been identified.
Toronto police said that at around 11:25 a.m. on Nov. 20, officers responded to a call for a missing child in the area of Roselawn and Marlee avenues.
Police said that the father a four-month-old boy reported him missing.
Responding officers located the baby and attempted life-saving measures.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police previously said that the baby’s mother, 30-year-old Karessa Edwards of Toronto, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case.
Officers identified the victim Wednesday as Azuri Bacchas and released his photo.
His death marks Toronto’s 79th homicide of 2024.
