Attempted robbery ends with conspiracy charge for 2 men from Caledon and Oshawa

A Brampton school was locked down after a youth was reportedly seen carrying an axe.

Police say they were called to Fletcher’s Creek Sr. Public School around 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday (May 10) after someone reported seeing a male youth with an axe outside the school.

No injuries were reported, but police said an axe was located outside the school.

Just after 1:00 p.m., police said that officers had completed a search inside the school and had not located the male youth believed to be involved in the incident.

The lockdown has been lifted and police say the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-3311.

Police originally said the school was Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School, but a spokesperson has confirmed with insauga.com that the call is related to Fletcher’s Creek Sr. Public School.
