A world-renowned music composer, singer-songwriter, music producer and instrumentalist for Hindi movies, Tamil movies, and even Hollywood movies has a concert coming up soon in Brampton that you won’t want to miss – tickets are selling out fast!

It’s true – A.R. Rahman will be in Brampton on Friday, October 20, to perform a concert in Hindi and Saturday, October 21, to perform a concert in Tamil. Both the Friday and the Saturday shows will take place at the Powerade Centre and begin in the evening at 7 p.m.

According to Rahman’s website, the popular musician has won two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South in addition to numerous other awards and nominations.

The music icon has worked not only on Indian cinema, but on British films, and even in Hollywood. 

He has created the scores for Hindi films like Highway and Tamasha, Tamil films like Linga and O Kadhal Kanmani, and more internationally-known films like 127 Hours and the ever-popular Slumdog Millionaire. 

As for his Brampton concert dates, the one-of-a-kind concert will see Rahman himself take to the stage, backed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and international guest soloists S. Navin on flute and Asad Khan on sitar, as well as vocal soloists and an epic 30 voice choir.
