Firefighters are advising motorists in Mississauga to choose alternative routes in order to avoid an area where crews are batting a low-rise apartment building fire.
On Friday afternoon, Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services crews were sent to a fire in the area of Battleford Road and Glen Erin Drive. The firefighters were contending with an “aggressive interior attack,” a tweet stated, and relatively clear roadways were essential for first responders to carry out their duties.
At 5:01 p.m., the fire department said the blaze was “under control.” No injuries were reported.
