Suspect in knife-point robbery at gas station in Clarington still at large

Attempted robber in Clarington

Authorities in Clarington are actively seeking a male suspect after he attempted to rob a gas station at knife-point.

Additional information posted by Durham Regional Police indicated that on Sunday, September 15, around 10 pm, East Division officers responded to an armed robbery at the Esso Gas Station at 1451 Regional Highway 2.

In an official release, authorities indicated that a male entered the gas station demanding cash from an on-site employee while making active threats with a knife.

The suspect fled when other customers entered the gas station and the Esso Gas employee did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Durham Regional Police officials have indicated that the suspect at large is a white, 20-25-year-old, roughly 5’10” tall, with blonde hair and an average build.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored face mask, black shirt, red and black pants, and black shoes.
