Aug. 27 Weather: It will feel like nearly 40 C with a chance of thunderstorms in southern Ontario

The warm weather continues this week in southern Ontario with hot temperatures on Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 31 C but with the humidex, it will feel like 39 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Durham Region on Tuesday, Environment and Climate Change Canada says.
While the sun is out, don’t forget to put on sunscreen, the UV index is expected to be 8 or very high.
But there is also a 30 per cent chance of showers in the morning, increasing to 70 per cent chance of rain in the afternoon.
There is a risk of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon. Environment Canada also said a tornado is possible in parts of southern Ontario on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Wind gusts of up to 40 km/h are expected in the afternoon.
The risk of a thunderstorm continues overnight. Temperatures will drop to a low of 20 C with slightly cooler temperatures expected the rest of the week.
