Attempted murder suspect wanted in shooting could be in Brampton, police say

A shooting that saw a victim shot in the leg has police searching for a man wanted on an attempted murder charge who could be hiding in Brampton.
The shooting happened around 12 a.m. in the 4300 block of Mount Royal Drive in Windsor on Dec. 9, the Windsor Police Service says.
Investigators say a light-coloured Dodge Caravan minivan approached a group of individuals and that’s when Multiple shots were fired from the van’s passenger-side window, striking the victim in the lower leg, police say.
Police say lifesaving first aid was provided at the scene before the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several spent shell casings were found on the street, and police said there was property damage to vehicles “consistent with bullet holes.”
A person of interest was identified in the shooting and police now say warrants have been issued for 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh.
Police say the young man is wanted for attempted murder, discharging a firearm with the intent to endanger life, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, and uttering death threats.
The 21-year-old East Indian male is believed to be living in Brampton and police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
