Attempted murder charge laid after man stabbed in Brampton

A 35-year-old Brampton man is facing an attempted murder charge following an alleged stabbing in Brampton.
Peel police say that in the early hours of June 22, police responded to a reported stabbing incident in the Haggert Avenue and Denison Avenue area, not far from the McLaughlin Road North and Queen Street West intersection.
On arrival, police located a man who had been stabbed.
Police say he was transported to a trauma center and was treated for his injuries.
Officers have not provided further details about the victim, including his age or place of residence.
Following an investigation, James Shipley-Dean was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
He was held for a bail hearing.
The charge has not been proven in court.
